The Cooperstown Fire Department is a public, not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization, funded in part by the Village of Cooperstown, and fire taxes from protection districts in the towns of Middlefield, Otsego, Springfield, and Exeter.

The Department cannot manage on public funds alone and utilizes donations from the community to fund community education, equipment purchases, and supplies.

Donations of goods, services, funds and time are all appreciated and used for the good of the department and community.

IMPORTANT!!

While we are all one department, Fire & Rescue and Emergency Medical (EMS) have different functions and different bank accounts. If donating by check, PLEASE make sure you direct your donation to the one you prefer. Donations via PayPal are available ONLY TO FIRE AND RESCUE at this time; donations to EMS are NOT yet available through PayPal on this website. Thank you!
